EU AI Act

AI labeling that survives every rendering

Since August 2026 the EU AI Act expects AI-generated media to stay recognizable as such. Fairu reads the provenance of your uploads and stamps a machine-readable marker into every image it delivers and every video version it transcodes — cropped, resized or converted.

Why it matters

AI labels die in image pipelines

Generators ship their images with provenance metadata — C2PA manifests, IPTC digital source types. The first resize in an ordinary pipeline strips them, and the label is gone exactly where people see the image.

Marking gets lost

Resizing, cropping or converting an image normally drops C2PA and IPTC metadata. The original stays labeled in your archive while every published copy pretends to be human-made.

Provenance, recorded

Fairu records six provenance sources — C2PA manifests, IPTC digital source types, credit lines, generator software tags, Stable Diffusion parameters and a person's own decision.

6

Marked on delivery

Rendered WebP, JPEG and PNG files carry the IPTC term for AI-generated media in their bytes — three delivery formats that stay labeled through every crop and scale.

What Fairu takes over

AI labeling that survives every rendering

01 / 06

Detection on upload

C2PA manifests, IPTC digital source types, credit lines, generator software tags and Stable Diffusion parameters set the AI marker automatically — for images and for videos.

02 / 06

A marker that survives editing

Every rendered WebP, JPEG and PNG carries the machine-readable IPTC term for AI-generated media — after cropping, resizing and format conversion. Originals of marked files and transcoded MP4 versions are delivered stamped as well.

03 / 06

A signal on every response

Deliveries of AI-marked files answer with an X-AI-Generated header — and Fairu's own public pages, from galleries and share links to embeds and channels, show the visible disclosure badge themselves.

04 / 06

A switch for older files

Mark legacy uploads by hand — one file or hundreds at once. The browse filter and the labeling statistics show what is marked, from which source, and what has not been probed yet.

05 / 06

A recorded why

Every marked file names its source: the C2PA manifest, the software tag, the credit line — or the person who set it. Changes land in the audit log, and a webhook reports every flip to your systems.

06 / 06

The flag in your channels

The marker and its provenance travel over GraphQL and REST, so your sites and apps can label AI media wherever they render it.
