Is there an SDK for a language other than PHP, TypeScript or Dart?

Those three are the official ones: PHP and TypeScript on GitHub, Dart on pub.dev. Anything else talks to the API directly, a set of REST routes and one GraphQL endpoint, where the bearer token carries the workspace it was created in. Any HTTP client will do.

How do I create the API key an SDK authenticates with?

In the API area of your workspace you name the key, tick the permissions it may use, and set how many days it stays valid, where 0 means it does not expire. The key appears once, and a click on the field puts it on your clipboard. It works only in the workspace it was created in.

Does my website need a token just to render a Fairu image?

Accepted Answer

No. The single-file query hands every caller the id, the delivery URL, alt text, caption and the copyright fields, so a template can output the picture and its credit line without an account. The rest of the record answers null unless the token belongs to the owning workspace.

Can I get a cropped image URL without a second request?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The url field takes a width, a height and a focal point, and gives back the finished delivery URL with those parameters already on it. With withStoredFocalPoint it uses the focal point stored on the file, so you pass no coordinates. For a video, a width and no version argument gives a WebP still frame.
