RSS 2.0 with the iTunes tags a directory checks before it lists a show — category, artwork, owner — and the Podcasting 2.0 tags for a stable GUID and chapters.
Point Fairu at your current RSS feed and it reads the show, its seasons and every episode. Nothing has to be uploaded a second time.
A public page per show, an embeddable player for your own site, and an audio player that carries your artwork and chapter marks.
Chapter marks are served as their own document and announced in the feed, so a podcast client that supports them finds them without being told.
A play count per episode and the last thirty days as a chart, in the workspace beside the episode itself.
VAST and VMAP tags per show, with rules for how many breaks a listener may hear, how far apart, and how long each one runs.
Two conditions, and they are the whole of it.
The programme is for shows arriving for the first time, so it is open only to podcasts without a Fairu account. If you already have a workspace, write to us anyway and we will find the right arrangement.
For as long as the six months run, Fairu may use your show in its own demos, screenshots and articles. The episodes stay yours, we name you whenever we show them, and we stop on request.
When the six months are up, you choose what happens next: move to a paid plan or take your feed and your files elsewhere. Nothing is charged without you agreeing to it first.
A link to your feed and a sentence about the podcast is enough to start the conversation.
